Project Statement

For this project I chose the essay question, How has graphic design influenced and shaped music culture? From this title i explored the topic through literatures and other research methods. 

My research was made up of academic literature that backed up my points and gave me something to argue with. Quotes i found were also a way for me to decide upon a practical outcome as they gave opinions on the subject that opened up new problems to be solved. 

I also made my own primary research where i put together a survey to test my theories. This was very beneficial to my argument as it give me first hand answers to back up points. 

In this project i learnt that research is a vital part of the project and it can determine the overall standard of the work. I have discovered using new research methods such as surveys can be a great way of getting facts for the essay. 

Overall i was pleased with my practical outcome and i think it was backed up by a good level of research to back up the problem that needed to be solved. This was because it was backed up by my essay  I think i needed to ensure that more ideas were generated before deciding on an outcome as i don’t think i explored the idea enough

Next time i will improve my time management as i struggled to keep up with this module alongside other modules, this meant that my work got put to the side and left until the last minute, this was made worse by me getting ill a few days before the deadline when i should have been working my hardest. This illness has proved to me that i should make sure my work is done with plant of time to spare to prevent things like this happening. 

With more time i would also like to make more time for proof reading my essay, i didn't spend enough time draughting and re-draughting my essay so it is not at the standard i would have hoped.
